At Three Birds, we’re obsessed with creating homes that are both beautiful and brilliantly functional - and House 17 is the ultimate example. This sun-drenched, ‘Cali Cool' dream home needed window furnishings that could do more than just look pretty. We wanted them to work hard and look good doing it. For a home like House 17 - with its soaring windows, peaceful bedrooms and light-loving open spaces - we needed solutions that would deliver on all fronts. The Style Situation

House 17’s ‘Cali Cool’ style is inspired by a glorious mix of Coastal, Boho, Scandi and Mid-Century charm. The Luxaflex range played beautifully with our layered textures and earthy

palette, adding that touch of softness and elegance we were after - without compromising function.

Here’s what we chose for each room:

Living Room

• Kori Curtains in Eggshell (thermal-lined) – for large windows and alfresco doors
• Valencia Pirouette in Calatrava – for smaller windows flanking the fireplace

These selections provide privacy, insulation, and a soft, flowing aesthetic, while the Pirouette Shades work perfectly for high-set windows.

Primary Bedroom

• Sheffield Roller Blinds in Cedar (translucent) – bay window
• Kori Curtains in Ginger (thermal-lined) – over the blinds for extra warmth and privacy
• Sheffield Roller Blinds in Cedar (block-out) – highlight windows above the bed

The ginger-coloured curtains add depth and warmth, complementing the room’s earthy palette.

Nursery

Paired with Dulux Terra Rose walls, these curtains create a luxe yet soothing nursery environment.
